Police recovered the body of a youth from a residential hotel in Dhaka’s Kamalapur area on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Pipisa Tripura, 24, a resident of village Gomoti in Khagrachari.
Motijheel police sub-inspector Habiz Uddin said that they recovered the body from room number 601 of Arafat Hotel at about 10:00am.
The body was hanging from the ceiling fan of the room, the SI said, adding that they sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
Pipisa Tripura checked in the hotel as a boarder on Sunday, the SI said, quoting the hotel authorities.
