Students of different government and private Polytechnic Institute in Dhaka and elsewhere in the country on Wednesday blocked roads with six-point demand, including cancelling High Court verdict on the promotion of craft instructors to junior instructors.

At about 10:30am on Wednesday, students of Dhaka Polytechnic and other institutions blocked Sat Rasta road at Tejgaon in Dhaka city.

Tejgaon Industrial Area police station officer-in-charge Gazi Shamimur Rahman said that they blocked the road more than two hours since 10:30am with their six-point demand.

He said that the blocking road created traffic congestions in nearby the areas.

Protests are also being taken place in Narsingdi, Naogaon, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Barishal, Sylhet, Chapainawabganj, Rangpur, Khulna, Pabna, Dinajpur, Sherpur districts.
