Actress Bidya Sinha Mim is set to work for the first time on a project for popular OTT platform Chorki. She recently signed a contract for an untitled Chorki original film, which is scheduled to go on the floors later this month. The film will be directed by Kazi Asad, who previously helmed the Chorki original series "Adhunik Bangla Hotel", starring Mosharraf Karim.

Speaking about the project, director Kazi Asad said the film is an emotional story and offers scope to present Mim in a new kind of role, different from her familiar glamorous image.

The contract signing took place on December 13 at the Chorki office. Chorki chief executive officer Redoan Rony was present on behalf of the platform and welcomed Mim to Chorki, expressing optimism about the collaboration.

Mim said she was drawn to the project primarily because of its story. She added that she had been selective about her work in recent months, and this script encouraged her to return to acting. The actress also said she regularly watches Chorki's films and series and hopes her first project with the platform will be well received by audiences.

The story of the untitled Chorki original film has been written by Mahamudul Hasan Tipu, Kazi Asad and Asaduzzaman Abir. More cast details will be announced in due course.
