Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairman and prime minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday sat in a views-exchange meeting with the district-level leaders of the party and its three associate bodies.

The closed-door meeting began at about 10:45am at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh auditorium at Farmgate.


BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir attended the meeting as special guest.

The meeting was chaired by BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Party Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salahuddin Ahmed, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Selima Rahman and AZM Zahid Hossain were present at the meeting, among others.

This is the first views-exchange meeting between Tarique Rahman and grassroots leaders of the party following the 13th parliamentary election held on February 12.

Speaking about the meeting, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the party’s election manifesto and the government’s plans would be presented before the leaders.

He said organisational activities of the party would also be discussed at the meeting.
