Universal College Bangladesh on Sunday successfully concluded the orientation programme for its Monash University Foundation Year January intake.

Marking the commencement of the year’s first batch, the MUFY orientation programme was held on UCB campus at Gulshan in Dhaka, said a press release.


The event began with introductory speeches by professor Muhammad Ismail Hossain, dean of academic affairs, and professor Hew Gill, president and provost at UCB.

The event progressed with insightful speeches by Daniel Lum from international recruitment and development of Monash University Malaysia, and Azra Karim, in-country representative from Monash Australia.

The speeches were followed by sessions targeted to familiarise students and guardians with UCB and the MUFY programme. Students and guardians are to note that though the orientation programme for MUFY January 2024 Intake is over, UCB will continue to keep the admission window open till February 2, 2024.

Prof Hew Gill said that at UCB they looked forward to working together to take the students closer to their own unique goals.
