Scarlett Johansson is reportedly in negotiations to star alongside Robert Pattinson in "The Batman Part II," marking a major crossover from Marvel to DC.

The sequel, directed by Matt Reeves, is set to begin production next spring and hit theaters in October 2027 through Warner Bros.

If finalised, the casting would represent Johansson's shift from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where she played founding Avenger Black Widow, to DC's superhero roster. The two-time Oscar nominee has remained busy beyond franchise films, recently making her directorial debut with "Eleanor the Great" at Cannes and starring in the box office hit "Jurassic World Rebirth", which grossed over $800 million for Universal. She's also set to appear in "The Exorcist" reboot and James Gray's "Paper Tiger."
