Following the success of its first season, iScreen’s original web series “Chokro 2” has been released to strong audience response, offering a darker and more intense psychological thriller experience.

Inspired by a 17-year-old incident involving the alleged suicide of nine members of a family in Mymensingh, the series builds on the narrative established in its first season. Directed by Vicky Zahed, the eight-episode series premiered on March 26 as part of iScreen’s Eid lineup.

Within 48 hours of release, the series recorded over one million minutes of viewership, according to the platform.

A press conference was held at Channel i on March 29 to celebrate the series’ success, where the cast and crew shared their experiences and audience feedback.

Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar praised the director’s work, noting the rapid success of the sequel.

The series features performances by Tousif Mahbub, Azmeri Haque Badhan, Shahed Ali, Nader Chowdhury, AK Azad Setu, Ihtisham Ahmed, Meghla Mukta, Gazi Rakayet, Shahed Ali Sujan, Moushumi Mou, among others.

Actor Tousif Mahbub said he was initially nervous ahead of the release, but audience feedback has been encouraging. Director Vicky Zahed expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring a second season, noting that the series features 18 key characters.

“Chokro 2” is available on the iScreen app through subscription, or for a one-time fee of Tk 25.
