Bangladesh Coast Guard on Saturday gave free treatment and medicines to over 200 underprivileged children at the St Martins Island in Cox’s Bazar.

For the health campaign, the maritime law enforcement force set up a temporary medical camp at the Mansur Ali Ship at the island, said a press release.

The physicians and medical assistant of the coast guard extended required treatment and medicines to the underprivileged children free of cost from 11:30am to 3:00pm, said lieutenant commander Khandaker Munif Taqi, media officer of the force’s headquarters.

Surgeon lieutenant commander Zakir Hossain was present at the event.
