The authorities of Channel i recently welcomed the team of Bangladesh women's national football team, who won the SAFF Women's Championship on September 19.

At the event, the team of "Damal", along with Sariful Islam Razz—one of the lead actors in the film—were present to celebrate the victory with the women's national football team.

All of the Bangladeshi women's footballers were very excited to see Razz. They spent some time with the actor and also took a few selfies to remember the moment.

"I was amazed to learn that they watched our film 'Poran'," informed Razz to The Daily Star. "I have also invited them to watch 'Damal', our upcoming film."

The elated Razz also expressed his happiness at how these young women had become champions and represented the country in front of the world.

"These young women showed Bangladesh's flag to the entire world. In 'Damal', I was also able to show our country's flag, so I know just how big that moment can be. So, I am really happy and honoured to have spent time with these young ladies."

Produced by Impress Telefilm, "Damal" is based on the historical events of the Shadhin Bangla Football Team of 1971. The Raihan Rafi directorial film will hit theatres on October 28.

The film features Bidya Sinha Mim, Siam Ahmed, Sariful Islam Razz, Nasir Uddin Khan, Sayed Babu, Rashed Mamun Apu, Sumiy, and Shahnaz Sumi among others.
