Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today said the Bangabandhu Foundation is planning to hold events like seminars and workshops on the ideology and principles of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 100 prominent universities across the world.
The foreign minister, who is also the president of the Bangabandhu Foundation, said the body has committees in 39 countries across the world and they are committed to project Bangladesh positively in the international arena.
"We will continue our efforts to project Bangladesh positively in the world including disseminating the ideology and information on lifelong struggle of our Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," he said.
Dr Momen said the foundation has also taken an initiative to take interview of all freedom fighters who are still alive. "The Liberation War Affairs Ministry will support us in this endeavour," he added.
The foreign minister made the remarks while talking to journalists after placing a wreath along with the leaders of the foundation at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital this morning.
Dr Momen said the foreign ministry has already set up Bangabandhu corners at 81 Bangladesh missions and offices abroad.
