Dhaka's leading film actor Shakib Khan's new movie "Prince" had been the subject of much speculation. There were even doubts about the shooting commencing due to visa complications, as the film will be shot outside the country as well. However, overcoming the uncertainties, shooting for "Prince" began in Dhaka today (Tuesday).
Director Abu Hayat Mahmud confirmed this information. According to him, Shakib Khan will join the shooting in Sri Lanka starting next week. Others have begun shooting from today. After four days of shooting in Dhaka, the remaining work will be done in Sri Lanka.
There had been rumors that "Prince" is based on the life of Kala Jahangir, a notorious underworld gangster from 1990s Dhaka. However, producer Hayat had already clarified that it is not based on any specific individual's life.
He shared, "This is nothing but mere rumor."
"Prince" is scheduled to release during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr. In this film, Shakib will be joined by Kolkata's Jyotirmoyee Kundu, Tasnia Farin, and Sabila Nur. The cast also includes Nasir Uddin Khan, Rashed Mamun Apu, Intekhab Dinar, Sharif Siraj, and many others.
The film is being produced under the banner of Creative Land Films, with Shirin Sultana as the producer.
